Chris and Julian get down to some twin guitar while Mick Smiles smiles. Having completed his first gig Chris is now officialy a member of Travelling Shoes and entitled to the pension rights. However he has to do five years before he gets the long service holidays...

Trying to capture the atmosphere of a live gig is always difficult but I quite like this one despite the blurring and saturated colours.

(Above and right) Dave gets ready to do a spot of welding, or is it just to be able to look at those curtains?

(left) Mic stands and posts are another problem for photgraphs, especially at the Gate. That strange thing on the mic stand is an ash tray, just out of shot is the pint glass holder - you've got to look after yourself in this game

Chris has always been a big fan of Julians guitar playing and even now he still finds himself thinking "how the hell does he do that..?"
