The Shoes are back!

Travelling Shoes are back and doing some gigs. Gibsons have been re strung and the dust burnt off the valves in preparation for what can only be described as "about bloody time". The classic twin harmony guitar sound is back with avengance and with a largely classic line up sounding better than ever.

See news for more information or jump straight to the gig guide to find out where.

New dates for 2008 as I get them, see News or Gigs.

T shirts will be available at the above gig, see news for more details

Want more information about Travelling Shoes? Then see below or why not read the biography.

Lets go back to your childhood.....

Cast your mind back to the early 80's........did you have longer hair than you could now manage to grow? Did you sport a moustache/sideburn combination of monumental proportions (and not just you ladies...)? More importantly did you enjoy quality live blues music at venues like The Nags Head, High Wycombe (of blessed memory), The Wheatsheaf in Slough, The Christopher in Eton or any number of live music friendly boozers from Watlington to Twickenham? Than you MUST remember Travelling Shoes!

Don't or can't remember Travelling Shoes? For shame! Think a heady mixture of blues, R'n'B, rock & roll, swing and country with a healthy dose of twin harmony guitar and some killer slide work and you are getting close. Still can't picture it? How about a big plate of Allman Brothers and pre Eliminator ZZ Top with a large side order of Chuck Berry...ahhh...one day all bands will be made this way....

This site is dedicated to Travelling Shoes (and related bands like The Stubbs Band, The Shufflers etc) and is updated regularly.

Do you have anything to say about Travelling Shoes? Do you have any recollections of particularly good gigs? Perhaps some photos of the band or the venues (a picture of all the bikes lined up outside the Nags Head would be most welcome) or are you still the proud owner of a "70 Shilling T shirt"? We would like to hear from you, why not email us. Ask to be put on our gig mailing list.
